$250

Priscilla Beadle has been a bead jewelry artist since 1993 when, after 23 years in the corporate world, she retired to accompany her husband on his job assignment in Hong Kong. Southeast Asia became her handicraft fantasy world as she hunted for beads in the bazaars of Tibet and Nepal, in dusty shops in Beijing, on remote Indonesian islands reached by catamaran, in beautiful Bali, and in verdant Indochina--Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam. Priscilla offers her necklaces to discerning buyers who love the sparks her pieces create.

David Kreitzer
Galactic Koi
Print, 32” H x 24” W
$500

Exclusively showing at
Seven Sisters
601 Embarcadero, Morro Bay
805.772.9955

Artist David Kreitzer was born in Ord, Nebraska in 1942, The number four child in a family of five. His father, The Reverend Mr. David Kreitzer, a Lutheran minister, and his mother, Norma, moved rather frequently during the years the children were growing up. The livelihood of a young country minister made moving a part of survival. From 1936 to 1950 pastor Kreitzer, an avid amateur photographer, recorded every aspect of his life on black and white film. Son David Kreitzer deciding to record the information stored in this vast array of black and white photographs has created a body of colorful paintings depicting his memories of growing up in the Nebraska countryside. Although the paintings are totally portrayed in his own style and sense of design, he has captured the lure of the countryside in the breadbasket of America much in the way his predecessors Grant Wood and Edward Hopper expressed their feeling about our land and our people. The paintings are a portrait of the richness of rural life that still exists today.

$1,200

Exclusively showing at
Just Looking
746 Higuera St., Suite 1

Painting aerial views of landscapes satisfies both head and heart. Glynis plays with color, abstraction, even minimalism. She retains the "feel" of a place while giving the viewer a new perspective of a familiar landscape or uses an aerial view as a jumping off point for work that aspires to be totally non-objective. Glynis has been influenced by Mark Tobey, Richard Diebenkorn, Maria Viera da Silva and other artists of the 1950s. She loves to layer colors, often under painting with bright saturated colors and subtracting or covering areas with opaque and semi-opaque colors to give the composition depth and perspective. Her paintings are included in corporate, public and privates collections across the country and abroad.

Tim Anderson
Over the Top

Graphite and ink on paper
30.5” H x 28” W
$2,000

Exclusively showing at
Hands Gallery
777 Higuera St., San Luis Obispo
805.543.1921

Artist Statement:
After graduating from the University of Oklahoma with a MFA, I set up and maintained studios in Chico, Oakland, Los Angeles and San Luis Obispo, all located in California. Fifteen years ago, I turned to drawing from painting because I lost my studio. At first the transition was difficult because most contemporary artists are educated to believe that drawings are, at best, a workman’s means to a more profound end. Over the years I have come to learn that the medium is not what makes the work profound, but rather, the work itself. It is my hope that the viewer will receive as much enjoyment from the work as I had in its making.

Peg Grady
Washington Square Park

Acrylic with collage and graphite on canvas
20” H x 16” W
$480

Exclusively showing at
Village Framing & Gallery
121 W. Branch St.
Arroyo Grande
805.489.3587

Artist Statement:
I am an artist who paints in acrylic with ink, modeling paste and collage elements finding their places on my canvases. My sculptures consist of found objects, all with a history (aka things other people consider to be junk). My art can be seen at Studios on the Park in Paso Robles, California. If you like to end your art viewing with wine, Paso Robles has over 200 wineries so your biggest problem will be deciding which tasting room to visit first. I was born in New York City where I appreciated the dinosaurs at the Museum of Natural History much more than the Monets at the Modern. Finally I got older and (hopefully) wiser, became a California girl and fell in love with art.

Patti Robbins
Wisteria and Vines

Acrylic on canvas
24” H x 36” W
$600

Exclusively showing at
Willis & Bennett
134 Branch St.
Arroyo Grande
805.474.6300

Born in New York City, Patti Robbins earned a BA from the American University in Washington, DC, an MA from Johns Hopkins University, and pursued artistic studies at the Atlanta College of Art. Although painting intermittently over the years, the needs of raising a large family limited the time spent on art. At the urging of an artist friend, Patti picked up her brushes once again, this time setting up a studio in the heart of her home, enabling her to enjoy both family and painting full time. With acrylic and oil as her mediums of choice, Patti indulges her “painting with a passion for color.” Living amidst the breathtaking landscape of the coastal California wine country, Patti’s paintings often depict sun-drenched vineyards, as well as a range of architectural images reflecting travels to Italy and Asia, a series of vibrant floral still life studies and a selection of figurative. Robbins appears in Who’s Who in American Art and has exhibited her work in numerous galleries and museums.
