Madeleine Kabat



Madeleine will begin performing as Acting Assistant Principal Cellist of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra in September. Prior to this appointment, she served as Visiting Artist at La Sierra University, Principal Cello of the Amarillo Symphony, and Assistant Principal Cello of the Madison Symphony. Madeleine has performed with the orchestras of Cleveland, Houston, Milwaukee, and the St. Paul and Orpheus Chamber Orchestras. A prizewinner in competitions including Klein and Fischoff, Madeleine holds diplomas from the Juilliard School, Rice University, Cleveland Institute of Music, and Oberlin College. She made her solo debut with the Cleveland Orchestra at age 18, and enjoys spending a portion of her schedule as a soloist and chamber musician.
