2017 Fringe Series: The Jazz Age
Composer and pianist Stephen Prutsman led a rollicking evening of jazz music and silent films from the jazz age at the historic Fremont Theater in downtown San Luis Obispo. Prutsman was joined by Steven Copes on violin for the first half of the show. Then three silent films were shown on the gigantic silver screen: The Cameraman's Revenge (1910), Suspense (1913) and Mighty Like a Moose (1926), which were paired with premiere musical scores written by Stephen Prutsman and co-commissioned with Spoleto Festival USA and the Schubert Club. Special thanks to Libbie Agran for sponsoring this remarkable event! Photos by Katy Barnard.
