Ludwig van BEETHOVEN
Symphony No. 6 in F Major,
op. 68 "Pastorale"
A musical journey through three sonic landscapes--the open prairies of America's
Shaker country, Grieg's beloved Norwegian countryside and the feelings inspired in
Beethoven on his walks through nature. Pianist John Novacek has been lauded on
the stages of Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and the Kennedy Center, and is a
frequent guest at festivals in the U.S. and abroad, including the Mostly Mozart
Festival, Aspen Music Festival, Caramoor, Chautauqua, SummerFest La Jolla and
Switzerland's Verbier Festival.
Generously sponsored by Roy and Jane Gersten.
John Novacek
...Technical feats many
pianists can't even
consider: varieties of
touch, a huge dynamic
range, and nuances of
statement...Novacek's
contributions cannot
be exaggerated.
